IT Tip: Snip and Sketch

Print screen is so 2010. You probably know that Snip & Sketch is a handy tool for quickly grabbing all or part of your screen.

But, did you know that you can delay snips to grab images that would normally go away once you move your mouse (ex. a drop down menu or notification message)?

Right-clicking the Snip & Sketch icon in your Windows Taskbar (at right) will display a menu that includes “New Snip in 3 seconds” and “New Snip in 10 seconds.” Choose one of these options to allow time for you to “setup” your screen capture, then select and capture as normal.

If you still see the old “Snipping Tool” in your Taskbar, you can search “Snip & Sketch” from the Windows search button (lower left of screen) and launch it there.

Once open, pin it to your Taskbar by right-clicking the icon and select “Pin to taskbar.”
