How To Request Large File Send in Mimecast

Mimecast “Request Large Files”

Due to limitations on email attachment size (LEB or recipient’s policy), you may need an alternate method of receiving large files.  This can be accomplished by using the Mimecast “Request Large File” plug-in in Microsoft Outlook:

Start New Email:

Click on the mimecast tab:

Select “Request Large Files”:

 

Make sure the email now has this notification at the top:

Press Send.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Recipient Experience:

  1. The recipient will receive this email:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. When the recipient clicks on “Upload Files” They will be brought to this screen:

  1. Click on “Get Access Key” and the recipient will receive another email with an access key:
  2. Copy and paste the access key into the window that opened in step 2. And the recipient will be brought to a screen to upload files:
  3. Select “Add Files” and add the files being requested by the Lerch Early & Brewer Staff member or Attorney.
  4. When all the files are added select “Send”
