Typing in Outlook Appointment Fields

Create an appointment in Outlook. In the Start time field, instead of clicking through the mini calendar, type “next Tuesday” to autofill the date!

There are many possibilities, like: tomorrow, this Friday, next week, next month, 3rd Friday. Major holidays work too, like: Veteran’s day, New Year’s Eve, Independence Day, even “3 days after Christmas.”

Drag and Drop emails to create tasks, appointments, or contacts.

Stop copying and pasting relevant text from emails into your calendar appointments, contacts and tasks.

Drag and drop emails to the icons at the bottom of your Outlook folders to create new items.

  • Drag and drop an email onto the Calendar icon and a new appointment will open containing the text from the email
  • Drop an email on the Contacts (aka People) icon and a new Contact card is created with the sender’s name and email already populated

Drop and email to the Tasks icon … well you get the idea
